In conventional DNA electrophoresis analysis, Ethidium Bromide (EB) is usually used for staining. Since EB is a carcinogen with strong toxicity, new harmless DNA dyes have been used. LUV-450 Blue Light Transilluminator is applicable for fluorescent dyes for nucleic acid or protein stains with excitation wavelengths around 470 nm.
