AMPTEC’s 641RS Intrinsically Safe – Fail-Safe Igniter Tester Ohmmeter is specifically designed for the ultra-safe in-circuit testing on squibs, flares, bridge-wire, and other explosive pyrotechnic devices. The 641RS offers 8-Ranges from 2low-range to high-range resistance measurement solutions while incorporating a fail-safe current limiting resistor network circuitry to ensure test currents cannot exceed 8 mA. In the unlikely event of a component failure, the output current limiting network would still be in effect. If in the remote unlikely event, the 641RS had an electrical fault, it offers life-saving safety.
