Organic Glass Scintillator (OGS) is a highly luminescent scintillator with exceptional particle discrimination. The amorphous matrix, composed primarily of pure fluorophore, provides a versatile and high-performance material that is suitable for numerous radiation detection applications.
Key characteristics and advantages of OGS are the following:
- High neutron detection efficiency and gamma rejection (Pulse Shape Discrimination)
- Short emission decay timing (1.3−1.6 ns prompt)
- High light yields (>17,000 ph/MeVee)
- Fast timing

Bars and plates
Organic Glass Scintillator (OGS) can be fabricated into a wide variety of bars and plates suitable for SIlicon Photomultiplier detectors.
Long aspect ratio
Not as fragile as single crystals, Organic Glass Scintillator has the mechanical strength to be fabricated into bars as long as 20 cm. A thin epoxy coating provides additional strength and protection from damage.
Custom sizes
Not limited by subtractive manufacturing techniques, Organic Glass Scintillator can be cast, extruded, injection molded and cut to fit almost any shape.
