The Interchemical Thickness Gage, also known as IC or Inmont gage, has long been the standard for measuring wet film thickness in the coatings industry (U.S.Patent No. 3,128,558). It is ideal for thin film applications and used for measuring wet ink film at the press.
BYK-Gardner offers three basic models in various ranges: Model S - general use, Model R - rotating scale, Model L - Low inertia with rotating scale. All models have an accuracy of +/- 0.0001 in (2.5 μm) or 2.5% full scale, whichever is greater.
